This website features the HSA-01, a product designed to detect and raise an alarm
to two of the symptoms of hypoglycaemia, increased perspiration combined with a drop
in body temperature.
The HSA-01 is not designed to indicate or respond to blood glucose levels, what it
does do is to provide a reliable alarm if during or at the onset of a hypo you experience
the two symptoms described above.
The HSA-01 has two sensors on the rear of the monitor that are held against the skin
by an elastic strap. The monitor is intended solely for bedtime monitoring and is
suitable for use by all age groups. When going to bed, the monitor is secured to
the wrist or ankle using the elastic strap. The monitor automatically adjusts itself
to the normal temperature of your body. After a couple of minutes the monitor is
turned on by pressing the centre button. Monitoring begins. If a drop in body temperature
combined with increased perspiration is detected, an internal vibration motor pulses
combined with an audible beep to alert the user of a potential hypo.
